Partnership for a Healthier Staten Island

As a Borough Lead Organization for the Partnership for a Healthier New York City, SIPCW aims to improve health outcomes by preventing the leading causes of death and disability for Staten Islanders. SIPCW organizes and leads a borough-wide coalition of community partners to identify and implement evidence-based and innovative health promotion strategies.

Through the Partnership to Improve Community Health grant, a 3-year initiative that supports implementation of evidence-based strategies to improve the health of communities and reduce the prevalence of chronic disease, SIPCW focuses on tobacco use and exposure, poor nutrition, physical inactivity, and access to opportunities for chronic disease prevention.
